SONGWRITING WORKSHOPS
Song Rise Arts partners with local non-profits such as Out Youth, Girl Forward, Austin Soundwaves, Lifeworks, Beyond the Grade, Kids in a New Groove, The Samaritan Center, Texas Folklife and Art Spark Texas to provide free songwriting workshops.
YOUNG ARTIST PROGRAM
The Young Artist Program meets in person once a month to provide 10 students with songwriting classes, a $25/class stipend, Q&A’s with industry pros, music industry field trips, and most importantly, a sense of community and belonging. The program provides culturally effective guidance, while nourishing the next generation of Austin songwriters and creating pathways to community and understanding.

THRIVE MENTORSHIP PROGRAM
In partnership with EQ AUSTIN, the THRIVE Mentorship Program is designed to support diverse voices in the Austin music scene by providing young songwriters (age 18-26) with opportunities to grow as artists and build community. Each of the eight selected students is paired with an acclaimed local musician whose mentorship prepares them to write, record and perform an original song.
Thrive students and mentors participate in a series of workshops on songwriting, production, marketing, branding, booking, and mental health for musicians with partners like Arlyn Studios, C3 Presents, Stubb’s, and SIMS and professionals like Grammy-winning producer Beto Martinez and Jesse Atwell (Atwell Music Group, Sony Music, Triple 8 Management). Each student then has their own recording session at 512 Studios with Omar Vallejo.
MY STORY, MY SONG: Healing for Female Veterans
A workshop series for women veterans designed to bring healing and hope to participants through the power of storytelling and songwriting.
