SONGWRITING WORKSHOPS
Song Rise Arts partners with local non-profits such as Out Youth, Girl Forward, Austin Soundwaves, Lifeworks, Beyond the Grade, Kids in a New Groove, The Samaritan Center, Texas Folklife and Art Spark Texas to provide free songwriting workshops.
YOUNG ARTIST PROGRAM
The Young Artist Program facilitates creative attunement for youth 18–26, where social connection emerges naturally from brave participation, not engineered outcomes. Through a 4–8 week Reels series featuring demo lessons and songwriting insights from books like The Music Technology Cookbook and The Artist’s Way, alongside in-person workshops, students engage with loopers, curated prompts, peer support, and local ATX collaborators to develop selfhood and songwriting skills. The program provides culturally effective guidance for underserved youth, while nourishing the next generation of Austin songwriters and creating pathways to community and understanding.
