SONGWRITING WORKSHOPS

Song Rise Arts partners with local non-profits such as Out Youth, Girl Forward, Austin Soundwaves, Lifeworks, Beyond the Grade, Kids in a New Groove, The Samaritan Center, Texas Folklife and Art Spark Texas to provide free songwriting workshops.
 
YOUNG ARTIST PROGRAM

The Young Artist Program provides free songwriting classes, a stipend, individual instruction, music industry Q+A’s and mentorship with professional Austin musicians. The program culminates with a showcase performance of the students’ original songs at a professional music venue or online showcase.

THRIVE MENTORING PROGRAM

The Thrive Mentoring Program is for graduates of our Young Artist Program. Five mentees receive 8 private lessons, 2 songs recorded in a pro music studio, 4 music industry events, $1K each for a capstone project and a stipend of $22/hour. The Thrive Mentoring Program also helps prepare students to meet the requirements for HAAM (Health Alliance for Austin Musicians) membership.

MY STORY, MY SONG: Healing for Female Veterans

A workshop series for women veterans designed to bring healing and hope to participants through the power of storytelling and songwriting.
